GAMES AND SPORTS

Students are provided with well laid out and fully equipped play – grounds for a variety of games. In addition to this every student is free to choose any one game, in which he/she will receive complete training for sports and games through expert coaches.

Our school conducted cluster and sub - regional level Basket Ball Tournament for boys and girls and regional level badminton for boys and girls.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Twelve students of KV ernakulam were selected to participate for the 39th KV National games and sports held at Hydrabad which was organized by Hydrabad region. In that our Vidyalaya got SIX GOLD, FOUR SILVER and FOUR students were selected for SGFI.

In Badminton the following students represented Chennai region for KV Nationals:

1. Boneetha bose of class VIII

2. Merlin Daniel of class XI

3. Rakhi G Menon of class X

4. Nelvin of class VIII

Boneetha Bose secured Gold in Doubles, Gold in Team event and Silver in Open singles. She is also selected for SGFI. Merlin Daniel secured Silver in Under 19 doubles.

In Volley Ball (girls) four students were selected to represent Chennai Region and they secured Gold in KV Nationals. The names are:

1. Anjana Sunil Kumar of class X

2. Minu Mathew of class X

3. Saranya V Raj of class IX

4. Megha Chandran of class X

Among them Minu Mathew was selected for SGFI.

In Skating two students were selected to represent Chennai Region for KV Nationals:

1. Abson Varghese of class XI

2. Vishnu Vinayan of class VIII

Among them Abson Varghese secured Silver in Under 19 category and selected for SGFI.

In Chess Meghna C H of class V secured Silver in team Championship and selected for CGFI.

In Basket ball Praseetha K P of class XI represented Chennai Region for KV Nationals.
